I am so happy to be on the board of directors for the NYC Chapter of Drag Queen Story Hour. I am thrilled to work with parents and children to enhance future generations of Americans by embracing diversity. It is an honor to read to children from books that celebrate the humanity of us all.

Here is an article and some pictures about a church in Greenpoint Brooklyn who asked me to come read stories to their children:

About Drag Queen Story Hour:
Drag Queen Story Hour (DQSH) is just what it sounds like—drag queens reading stories to children in libraries, schools, and bookstores. DQSH captures the imagination and play of the gender fluidity of childhood and gives kids glamorous, positive, and unabashedly queer role models. In spaces like this, kids are able to see people who defy rigid gender restrictions and imagine a world where people can present as they wish, where dress up is real.
Created by Michelle Tea and RADAR Productions in San Francisco, DQSH now happens regularly in LA, New York, and San Francisco, and events are popping up in other cities across the US, Canada, and the UK!
If you live in one of these three cities, contact us to bring DQSH to your library, school, or bookstore!
