March is coming up fast with two VERY exciting Church With a 2 Drink Minimum events:

Friday March 16 at Playwrights Downtown 440 Lafayette Street Room 3A New York, NY 10003, Church With A 2 Drink Minimum in collaboration with Musical Theater Factory presents the first 15mins of the new musical about Rev. Yolanda's life called "The Passion of Rev. Yolanda". The event is called 4X15 and is being presented at Playwrights Horizon. 15 minutes of 4 new musicals will be presented during the evening. This will be the first public presentation of Rev. Yolanda's autobiographical musical based on her life and work. The musical is set in the fictional church called "Church of the Alien Love Child" which is based on our real life Church With A 2 Drink Minimum. The story is a fictional version of Rev. Yolanda's life in the form of a "Passion Play" hence the title "The Passion of Rev. Yolanda". This new musical theater work is the product of an amazing team: Rev. Yolanda-trans femme gender queer singer songwriter interfaith minister, Justin Taylor playwright, Eric Tipler composer, Shaun Peknic director, and Phillip Carroll musical director-plus a cast of 10, including Church With A 2 Drink Minimum's own: Doreen Younglove! "We are planning...our interfaith spring break trip this March...

and would LOVE to bring our crew back to your Church with a Two Drink Minimum. It was seriously the highlight of (last year's) trip: it sparked beautiful sticky messy vulnerable liberating conversation for us and is still referenced often by those in our department."

-Carrie Seigler professor of Interfaith Studies, Elon University, NC.
